About Us
History
Our story starts way back, in a single man's heart...
The passion of a single man, Mobolaji Ogunlende, to leave a footprint in the lives of those around him evolved into something bigger – An opportunity to develop his community and eventually create a collection of people that can work together to create positive impact in life.
The official registration process for RAK Development Foundation was concluded in 2018, but it was just the invention of a vehicle to transport the desires of a man’s heart to help those around him rise.
The impact that was birthed has spiralled out into projects that cut across different issues such as: healthcare, women development, youth empowerment, activism, community development, childcare, and many more.
Of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals – RAK Development Foundation has executed at least a project that is classified under one of 15 of the goals. Not only is the idea to help, it is to standardize the kind of help provided and ensure that they line up with international benchmarks.
RAK Development Foundation has its headquarters in Badagry, Lagos State, Nigeria. The local government development areas that form Badagry have benefitted tremendously from projects organized by RAK Development Foundation.
One of the most important successes of RAK Development Foundation was the independent creation of a coalition of like-minded individuals called – Friends of RAK. These are simply people who have been inspired by the efforts of the foundation and believe it is only right to extend kindness to other places. Their work is not overseen by the foundation, they simply use the foundation’s commitment as a template to execute good will in the community.
